Our purpose at Two Sparrows Village is to create communities where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can discover a world of possibilities and achieve independence according to their abilities. We believe all adults should have opportunities for an independent life consistent with their individual capabilities. Those with intellectual disabilities thrive in environments that include life-long learning, meaningful friendships, and opportunities to contribute to their communities.
As special needs children grow older and age out of the education system, living arrangements for those with intellectual disabilities are limited.
The commitment to a far better future for this underserved population led to the concept of Two Sparrows Village, a groundbreaking new model for inclusive living that allows those who are neurodiverse to live in an accepting community with neurotypical adults.
