Farmsteads of New England currently (2023) provides residential services primarily at our farmstead in Hillsborough, NH. We have constructed a cluster of one bedroom apartments so that each person has maximum privacy while also having easy access to others for socialization. We provide whatever level of support the individual needs. We are also developing a farmstead in Epping, NH and hope to have the first residential apartment buildings there completed by the end of 2023. We do accept Section 8 housing vouchers.""
Our intent is to give the individuals we support the opportunity to have stable housing and live in a pleasant rural environment while also having the chance to do real, meaningful work in a setting that is supportive of their needs. We aim for our farms and the people we support to be an integral part of the local community. We have a petting farm, a farm stand, mobile farm stands that we bring into the community, a CSA (community supported agriculture) program, weaving and art classes and festivals that bring the community to the farm. We also make an effort to get each person we support “off the farm” every day so they can do their shopping, attend local events, and participate in recreational activities in the greater community. If interested, we can assist the individuals we support to find volunteer opportunities and/or competitive employment.
