Accessible Design

The residential unit and/or building meets the requirements of state and local codes and regulations for accessible housing. While specific standards vary by location, examples include wide doors, sufficient clear floor space for wheelchairs, grab bars in bathrooms, no-step entrances and many others. This is also referred to as ADA-compliant design. (ADA refers to the Americans with Disabilities Act).
